Who am I?

Hi! I’m Laura! I am a K – 8 Computers and Technology teacher from sunny (and often uncomfortably hot) Florida. I am also the coach to several middle school cyber-defense teams. I introduced and run a computer programming club at my school with the focus of integrating technology and the creative arts.

I’m also a mom to an energetic and curious ten-year-old girl who keeps me on my toes, and two rescue dogs who believe they’re human. I’m convinced the two of them are plotting something… stay tuned. 🙂
I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a master’s degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and from Saint Leo University with a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I am a 2019 NCEA Distinguished Graduate, and I was also awarded the Distinguished Educator of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year!
And now, I’m an aspiring writer! Keep an eye on my Books section. With some good luck, it will start filling up soon! In the meantime, I’m losing myself in my Middle Grade Manuscripts. ✍
